Select Instructional Methods, Media, & Materials

Method:
-    Teacher will provide students with the URL to teacher’s blog, which is where this lesson will take place. All, but a brief introduction in class will be done on-line. This will be a student-centered project, in that students are responsible for their learning and speech production.

Media
:
-    Teacher will use http://www.misssanchezsays.blogspot.com to guide students through the demonstrative speech making process, show examples, teach students how to critique, and relay to students the project expectations and grading methodologies (rubrics).   
-    Teacher will use http://www.slideshare.net to upload PowerPoint presentations of instruction to blog.
-    Students will use their previously created blogs to submit their final speeches and receive critiques from classmates.
-    Students will use some sort of recording device, such as digital camera or voice recorder to record their speeches.
-    Students will use some sort of editing software, such as Movie Maker, in order to edit their speeches.
-    Students will use their previously created e-mail addresses to send and receive script drafts, as well as their grades.
-    Student s will use a word processing document to type their scripts.
-    Teacher will use e-mail to receive scripts and return critiqued scripts, as well as send students their grades.

Materials
:
-    A digital recording device, such as camera, voice recorder, or software such as All Capture.
-    PowerPoint and Word for posting certain blogs and reviewing and responding to student scripts respectively.
-    Computer with internet access.
-    Movie editing software.
-    Student e-mail accounts
-    Student’s class blog (Google’s Blogspot).
