Analyze Learners

General Characteristics: The class is composed of 24 tenth grade students (12 male and 12 females). One student (Sara) has an orthopedic disability and as a result, uses a wheel chair. In order to accommodate Sara, students will work in groups and students have the option of the roles in which they take in producing the project.

Entry Characteristics: In a class survey conducted at the beginning of the year, all students knew how to use Microsoft Office, as well as how to navigate and use the internet. About 75% of the class knew how to use some sort of movie editing software and a digital camera. More than half of the class owns a digital camera and the groups have been formulated so that each group has a digital camera. Further, all students reported that they have access to a computer with internet connection, whether at home, school, or an internet café.

Learning Styles: Most students in the class learn through examples, working in groups, and hands-on activities.
